None other than Public Enemy&#8217;s inimitable MC Chuck D will deliver <a href=\"http:\/\/www.virtualgrc.org\/program\">the first keynote<\/a> on Friday night, titled &#8220;And You Don&#8217;t Stop Radio.&#8221; WFMU&#8217;s stalwart station manager and streaming radio innovator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiosurvivor.com\/2020\/04\/07\/podcast-240-wfmu-is-still-on-the-air-during-the-pandemic\/\">Ken Freedman<\/a> delivers the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.virtualgrc.org\/program\">Saturday keynote<\/a>, &#8220;The Fine Art of Staying on the Air.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those who register will be treated to <a href=\"http:\/\/virtualgrc-org.artxfm.com\/schedule\/\">three days of hardcore grassroots radio goodness<\/a>, with a particular focus on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Pandemic: How to Broadcast Safely &amp; Responsibly<\/li><li>The Protests: Amplifying Justice &amp; Equality for All<\/li><li>The President: Energizing the Electorate Through the FM Dial<\/li><li>Hyperlocal News Reporting during Wildfires and Other Natural Disasters<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We Radio Survivors will endeavor to add productively to the conversation with a live episode of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiosurvivor.com\/podcast\">podcast and radio show<\/a> on Friday, October 9 at 12:15 PM PDT \/ 3:15 PM EDT tackling the question of how community stations help their communities cope with crises. We&#8217;re pleased to welcome two thoughtful and accomplished guests whose stations have been at the epicenter of the conflict between policing and protests in defense of Black lives.
