Multimedia artists Mark Timmings and Brady Marks present 24 hours of this kind of &#8220;slow radio&#8221; on Earth Day, April 22. Though not expressly designed for the times of &#8220;shelter in place,&#8221; when many public parks, beaches and natural spaces are closed to enforce proper social distancing \u2013 this is the fourth year of the program \u2013 the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/wetlandproject.com\/\">Wetland Project<\/a>&#8221; nevertheless offers a sonic respite in &#8220;the circadian rhythm of an endangered Saturna Island marsh&#8221; in British Columbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Twelve stations will carry part or all of the 24-hour program, including the first two US affiliates, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kalw.org\/\">KALW in San Francisco<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/kpov.org\/\">KPOV in Bend, OR<\/a>. As the organizers note, &#8220;the program is ready-made and easily automated by staff working remotely during station lockdowns,&#8221; so there&#8217;s still time for new stations to come on board. <a href=\"http:\/\/ mailto:info@wetlandproject.com\">Contact them<\/a> for more details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As they describe it, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The beautiful and\u00a0complex environmental\u00a0soundscape, featuring birds, frogs, airplanes and more, engages with people in\u00a0real time as they go about their daily\u00a0routines.
